Mr. Michael Sexton is Vice President and Chief Technology Office of The Stacia Group, LLC and adds almost two decades of Information Technology experience to the leadership team. More than ten years of that experience has been working with dozens of Federal Government agencies, to include Federal Civilian, Department of Defense, and Intelligence Community organizations. In his role as VP\CTO at The Stacia Group, LLC, Mr. Sexton will be leveraging his vast experience to expand our offerings to the Federal Government and provide technical leadership to all of our staff.
Mr. Sexton’s passion for using technology to improve the mission of
Federal agencies has led him to work on efforts that run the gamut from small, highly secure mission systems to large enterprise private clouds while working for industry titans such as Microsoft Corporation and large defense firms such as BAE Systems, Inc. In his time in government, he has established a reputation for repairing at risk projects and business relationships. In one such instance, Mr. Sexton took over as manager of a section of a large IDIQ private cloud program that was behind schedule and unprofitable. Working with the multi-vendor team, he rescoped priorities and worked to remove blockers to schedule. Within months, the relationship with the customer had been repaired and profitability restored for the first time in two years.
Education is the foundation of knowledge and Mr. Sexton has pursued this vigorously. He currently holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Master’s of Business Administration. In addition, he has achieved multiple industry certifications, with the CISSP, PMP and several Microsoft certifications to name a few. Mr. Sexton was also chosen for BAE Systems, Inc’s Emerging Leaders Program (ELP) which takes 40 of the company’s executives each year and provides them with international training opportunities in global leadership principals. As part of this learning, Mr. Sexton was able to travel to Abu Dhabi (U.A.E), Edinburgh (UK), and Washington, DC (U.S.A) with a group of executives from the U.S.A, United Kingdom, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Australia.
